BOLLOCKS

When I was approached to compose the score for Bollocks, I jumped at the opportunity. I had just wrapped up my directorial debut Composure, and while I’d often spoken about wanting to score for film, I didn’t have much to show for it.

From the outset, the director and I both knew the film needed a distinctive sonic identity, something that could evolve with the characters but remain rooted in the film’s emotional core. I was drawn to a palette that blended punchy electronic synths with intimate, expressive piano lines. I also wanted space to explore darker, more brooding textures that matched the film’s emotional weight and thematic complexity.

By December, the score was complete. Scoring Bollocks was one of the most creatively rewarding experiences I’ve had to date, not just because I was trusted with it, but because I got to explore and shape it from the inside out.
